Subtropical Climate lies between desert and continental climate where you exhibit long growing seasons of warm summer and cool winters. Precipitation is at its peak during summer season especially in India and China.
Dry Subtropical Climate a.k.a Mediterranean Climate
This climate is the best location for wine production located between 30° - 45° latitude from the equator which exhibits mild winters lasting at most a few months and warm dry summers. The Mediterranean Climate can have a desert-like feature but is more moist than the actual climate.
During the dry summer season, plants develop thick waxy leaves to retain water. However, grapes on the other hand will develop deep roots towards deeper soil to reach the water available deep underground.
